- promote African timber with a focus on sustainable management of forests based on forest management planning, legal forest exploitation, certification and carbon emissions reduction throughout the chain of supply;
- encourage economic development through processing, marketing of timber products complying with environmental market requirements and local use of these products;
- promote good forest management practices within the timber industry thanks to the support of administrative, industrial and commercial partners;
- encourage transfers of competencies and technology and exchanges between international players in the forest-timber industry and all parties involved.
