FRM Ingénierie (a subsidiary of the FRM Group) is a consulting firm specializing in forest and wood engineering, and occupies a leading position in sustainable management of tropical forests, particularly in Central Africa. With FRMIs contribution, nearly 30 million hectares are sustainably managed.
FRMI intervenes alongside private operators, states and development partners to design investment projects in the forestry sector, for their monitoring and execution. FRMI provides advice on the development of the wood industry and the evolution of forest legislation and taxation facilitating this development. FRMI has also developed expertise in Due Diligence, traceability, accounting for stored carbon in forests, REDD+, local development, agriculture, spatial monitoring. The FRM Group is strongly developing its forest and agroforestry plantation activities, with nearly 50,000 ha of land acquired for planting or to be planted, more than 1,000 ha planted in 2019 in acacia-manioc agroforestry.
