This book is a reference book, addressing opportunities and solutions to all the major issues related to the protection of the Congo Basin forests by treating them at different levels: ecological, economic and social.
This collective work contains a 4-page contribution on the LKTS written by Patrick Martin and Elise Héral, entitled « Plea for the use of lesser-known tree species in sustainable forest management« .
The European launch of the book took place on 31 May in The Hague (Netherlands) at the conference « The Future of Forests and People in Central Africa« , organized by the NGO Tropenbos International, the Dutch network Global Compact United Nations and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
