Caroline Duhesme has joined ATIBT to strenghten FLEGT project

27.01.2017

Caroline Duhesme joined the ATIBT team in Nogent-sur-Marne in early January as an Assistant Coordinator of the FLEGT-REDD projects to support the implementation of the project’s activities alongside Jacqueline Van de Pol (based in Libreville), in particular on the EUTR, REDD+ and VPA components.

An ESB graduate, Caroline has over 15 years of professional experience in the logging and timber processing sector in tropical environments, particularly in the Congo Basin. After having worked in logging companies in Cameroon and Gabon, she joined Bureau Veritas (a certification body), where she managed the development of forest management and chain of custody certification in the African zone. This allowed her to visit many companies in various contexts.

An independent consultant over the last 5 years, she has developed a multitude of activities: consulting and support, conformity assessment, training, and she has been able to broaden her areas of expertise by specialising in the implementation of the FLEGT action plan (VPA and EUTR) in relation with institutions, local authorities and the private sector.
