The GFBC (Groupement de la Filière Bois du Cameroun - Cameroon Timber Industry Association) is a sectoral employers’ organisation, whose members represent about 75% of the volume of business carried out in this sector in Cameroon.

The GFBC’s main tasks are the following:

  • representation before any administration or jurisdiction in order to exercise (in defence) the rights inherent in the collective interest of the profession or its members;
  • implementation of the dissemination of information through the publication of bulletins and books of interest to the profession, both in terms of legislation and the organisation and implementation within the sector, as well as the conducting of studies on the social and economic issues affecting the trade.
