ATIBT is looking for a trilingual intern (Mandarin/English/French) to support the Tropical Timber Trade (TTT) project

An internship at the heart of international communication and sustainable trade in tropical timber.

ATIBT is offering an exciting internship opportunity for a trilingual student (Mandarin/English/French) who wants to get involved in an international project promoting responsible tropical timber trade.

This six-month internship, based in Paris or remotely, is part of the Tropical Timber Trade Facility (TTT) project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ, in partnership with COMIFAC and the countries of the Congo Basin.

ATIBT, a key partner in the project, works to promote sustainable tropical timber in consumer markets, notably through its Fair&Precious brand.

A mission with a strong intercultural dimension

The intern will help strengthen the communication bridge between ATIBT and its partners in China by providing translation, cultural adaptation, and dissemination of multilingual content (French, English, Mandarin).

Under the supervision of the communications manager and the TTT project manager, he or she will participate in:

  • the translation and revision of institutional and promotional materials;
  • managing the Fair&Precious WeChat account and international social media;
  • writing articles and press releases for the Chinese public;
  • preparing for trade shows, webinars, and international events;
  • monitoring performance and media coverage related to the project.

Required profile

ATIBT is looking for a student in communications (bachelor's or master's degree) with:

  • an excellent level of Mandarin (HSK4 minimum), as well as a very good command of French and English;
  • a good knowledge of digital communication tools (WordPress, Canva, social media);
  • and an interest in issues related to sustainable development, tropical forests, and the international timber trade.

Autonomy, rigor, team spirit, and intercultural sensitivity will be essential assets for this position.

Conditions

  • Duration: 6 months (renewable depending on projects)
  • Location: Paris or remote (Africa/Europe/US East Coast time zone)
  • Supervision: ATIBT Communications Manager / TTT Project Manager
  • Remuneration: depending on profile and location
  • Opportunity to participate in international events (depending on the project budget)
