31.10.2025

ATIBT is pleased to announce the arrival of Solène Gasnier-Defaux, who joins the team as Project Manager for the TTT (Tropical Timber Trade) project, supported by GIZ and funded by the German government.

Solène holds a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Policy (Sciences Po Paris/UPMC) and a Master's degree in International Programs (IRIS Sup'). She has solid experience in coordinating international projects, multi-stakeholder management, and search for institutional funding.

Before joining ATIBT, she worked for several leading organizations, including ONF International, Reforest'Action, and France Volontaires, where she led projects related to sustainable forest management, biodiversity conservation, and climate change adaptation, funded in particular by the French development agency, the European Union, and other donors. More recently, she held the position of co-financing project manager at CCFD-Terre Solidaire, where she was responsible for developing institutional financing and coordinating international solidarity projects.

At ATIBT, Solène will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the TTT project, which aims to strengthen the sustainability, traceability, and transparency of the tropical timber trade, in close collaboration with institutional partners and private sector actors. The project also aims to promote dialogue between African, Chinese, and European federations.

The ATIBT team welcomes her and wishes her all success in her new role!
