From 30 December 2024, the European Regulation deforestation-free products (EUDR) will prohibit the marketing from or to the EU of certain products that have contributed to deforestation or forest degradation. Traceability and transparency are at the heart of this new regulatory framework. The companies concerned will have to provide sufficient guarantees to demonstrate that the risk of deforestation or degradation associated with the product is zero or negligible. To achieve this, they will have to carry out due diligence, including a detailed risk analysis.
