Until recently, there was no Wikipedia article dedicated to Reduced Impact Logging (RIL).
This gap has now been filled thanks to a joint initiative by the Precious Forest Foundation (PFF), ITTO and ATIBT, with the support of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH), coordinated by Claude Garcia and Patrick Waeber.
This collaborative effort has brought together numerous experts, and has resulted in the publication of a comprehensive article online. The ATIBT and the ITTO have also provided financial support for this initiative.
The article presents a generally favorable view of responsible forestry, while highlighting the limitations and challenges associated with the implementation of Forest Management Practices (RIL/EFIR).
