As an FSC-certified forestry leader in the Republic of Congo, Interholco is looking for a committed Forest Director: https://lnkd.in/deRdRz4j to guide our forestry operations towards excellence — where people, planet, and performance grow together.

As our Forest Director, you’ll oversee all strategic and operational forestry activities — from inventory planning and harvesting to transport logistics — ensuring safety, sustainability, and compliance with international standards (FSC and beyond).

What you’ll do:

Supervise and optimise forestry operations (inventories, harvesting, logistics)
Guarantee compliance with FSC and certification standards
Manage the Forestry Department’s budget and performance
Ensure safety, health, and environmental protection at every step
Coach, train, and develop forestry teams
Collaborate with management, authorities, auditors and partners

What you bring:

A degree in forestry or a related field
Proven experience in tropical forest management — ideally in Africa
Strong leadership and intercultural communication skills
In-depth knowledge of FSC standards and sustainability principles

Fluency in French and English (German is an asset)
