The FSC has officially launched a comprehensive review process of its Principles and Criteria (P&C), its International Generic Indicators (IGI), and the entire normative framework that serves as the basis for the Forest Stewardship Standards (FSS/NFSS).
This project, known as the PCI review, is one of the most significant reforms of the FSC system since the publication of version 5 of the FSC Principles & Criteria in 2015, which had already profoundly restructured the forest management framework.
This review is accompanied by a parallel consultation on the procedure for adapting these requirements at the national level, via the FSC Country Requirements.

Ongoing consultation: revision of Country Requirements
In parallel with the revision of the CPIs, the FSC is conducting a public consultation on the procedure for developing and revising Country Requirements (FSC-PRO-60-006 and FSC-PRO-60-006a).
These documents define how countries and regions adapt CPIs and IGIs in their national Forest Management Standards.
