TTT Flash Training: first webinar on forest traceability and PAFC/PEFC certification

11.09.2026

As part of the Tropical Timber Trade Facility (TTT) project, ATIBT is launching a new series of remote "Flash" thematic training sessions. The first session, focused on forest traceability and the PAFC/PEFC chain of custody, will take place on Friday, September 18, 2026.

These short sessions are designed to provide concrete answers to the challenges companies face in their certification process. Each session draws on practical examples and trainers' shared experience, focusing on a specific topic covered in three to five key points: presentation of the requirement, detailed explanation of its content and terminology, auditors' expectations and evidence to provide, procedures to be built, and concrete illustrations.

The first webinar will focus on forest traceability and on the specifics of PEFC CoC (chain of custody) traceability, along with the key methods to comply with it. The two hour session will bring together forest concession holders, certification managers, auditors and administration representatives. Prior familiarity with FSC/PAFC standards is an advantage but not required. Participants are encouraged to prepare their questions in advance to enrich the discussion.

This training series is part of the activities of the TTT project led by ATIBT, which aims to strengthen the capacities of tropical forest-timber sector companies in the face of certification requirements and regulatory developments.
