EUDR: survey to better understand companies' level of preparedness

17.07.2026

With the entry into application of the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) only a few months away, a new survey has been launched to assess how prepared companies are, identify the challenges they face in practice, and document the solutions they are putting in place. Companies operating in the supply chain are strongly encouraged to participate before 21 August 2026.

As part of a study on companies' preparedness for compliance with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), the Alliance pour la Préservation des Forêts (APF), CIRAD, and the NGO Canopée Forêts Vivantes have launched an online survey targeting companies directly concerned by the Regulation.

The study is being carried out at the request of the Scientific and Technical Forestry Committee (CST-F), an expert platform coordinated by the French Development Agency (AFD).

The survey aims to provide a better understanding of:

  • companies' level of preparedness for EUDR implementation;
  • the tools and procedures put in place to achieve compliance;
  • the main operational challenges encountered;
  • good practices and solutions developed across the sector.

The questionnaire is intended for staff directly involved in EUDR implementation within their companies, including those responsible for procurement, compliance, traceability, sustainability, information systems, and related functions. Several colleagues may collaborate to complete the different sections of the questionnaire.

The survey takes approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete. All responses will be treated in strict confidence and analysed only in aggregated form.

Deadline for participation: 21 August 2026

ATIBT encourages its members concerned by the EUDR to participate in this survey, which will help document on-the-ground realities and contribute to ongoing reflections on the effective and pragmatic implementation of the Regulation.
