For more than 70 years, the International Tropical Timber Technical Association (ATIBT) has brought together stakeholders committed to a responsible, legal, and sustainable tropical forestry and timber sector. With a presence primarily in Europe and in many producing countries, the association brings together nearly 160 members: forestry and industrial companies, producing countries, professional organizations, international donors, educational and research centers, NGOs, and experts.
In a rapidly changing international environment, marked in particular by challenges related to sustainable forest management, certification, regulation, and market access, ATIBT is seeking its next Managing Director.
Reporting to the Board of Directors, he or she will be responsible for implementing the Association’s strategic direction, uniting its members and teams, strengthening its international influence and reach, and ensuring the development and sustainability of its activities.
Candidates are invited to submit a resume and a cover letter. The cover letter should, in particular, present their vision for the future of ATIBT as well as a proposed strategic plan for the coming years, identifying the key priorities they would like to pursue.
