ATIBT is organising an « African Log Classifier » training course from 17 – 19 January 2017 in the port of La Rochelle (France). This training course will focus on the recognition of species, and the qualification of logs and their cubing for commercial transactions. At the end of the training, an examination will be scheduled for the following qualification: ATIBT Log Classifier. The classifier will then be listed on the ATIBT website.
This qualification, recognised in professional environments, attests that the holder knows and applies the rules of the trade. It also allows the classifier to intervene in the event of disputes between two parties or to provide his/her technical opinion in the context of a claim.
