ATIBT welcomes a new member: Olive People

20.03.2026

ATIBT is pleased to welcome Olive People to its network. The organization works at the intersection of human capital development, project management, and private sector engagement, helping sustainable industries strengthen the skills and partnerships needed to meet today’s environmental and economic challenges.

ATIBT is delighted to welcome Olive People as a new member of its international network.

Olive People is a project management and human resources company working across sustainable development sectors, with a particular focus on workforce development, talent pipelines, and partnerships between the private sector and training institutions.

Across Africa, forestry and wood industries face common challenges: shortages of skilled workers, difficulty attracting young professionals, and increasing expectations related to sustainability standards and local employment.

Olive People supports companies, development organizations, and training institutions in addressing these challenges by aligning industry needs with human capital development.

Its work focuses on three main areas:

  • Workforce and skills development, including the design of work-based learning programs and green skills development.
  • Private sector engagement in development programs, helping companies actively participate in initiatives supporting sustainable economic growth.
  • Platforms connecting companies and talent, notably through the Impact Job Days ecosystem, which promotes careers and partnerships in the green economy across Central Africa.

As the tropical timber sector continues to evolve and face increasing expectations from markets, investors, and local stakeholders, skills and human capital development will be key to ensuring the sector’s long-term sustainability.

ATIBT looks forward to working with Olive People to strengthen capacity, partnerships, and knowledge sharing across the forest sector.
