Launch of Dynafac website

12.03.2021

The collective Dynafac, which brings together various scientific institutions and forestry operators members of the ATIBT, contributes to the maintenance of research systems on sustainable management and has launched its website www.dynafac.org.

The website presents the goal of the collective, implemented in Cameroon, Gabon, the Central African Republic, the Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo: to develop activities that will eventually improve management plans and ensure better management of Central African production forests.

It also presents the projects carried out by Dynafac:

  • DynAfFor, which aims to improve scientific and technical knowledge on forest dynamics, to improve decision-making tools for forest management, and to mobilize stakeholders to improve management practices
  • P3FAC, which is a continuation of DynAfFor and aims to assess the response of forest areas and their plant and animal populations to forest exploitation, to evaluate the impact of human activities on the ecological and biological processes affecting the dynamics of species providing timber and NTFPs, to propose silviculture rules and management actions adapted to different types of forests, and to ensure that the results are appropriated by political decision-makers and national administrations.

Dynafac is associated with seven other projects, presented on the website.

Through this webite decorated with many photos, the collective also presents its various partners, its donors and the activities implemented.
