Reminder: Registration for RACEWOOD 2025 in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo is open

24.05.2025

It is time to register for the RACEWOOD 2025 conference, which will be held on July 1 and 2 in Pointe-Noire.

After a seven-year hiatus since its last edition in Libreville, RACEWOOD is making a comeback amid major transformations in our sector.

Following Gabon and Congo, the other countries in the CEMAC zone will, within a few years, only allow the export of products that have undergone at least one initial processing stage. This development is prompting our forestry companies to rethink their strategies towards:

- More advanced wood processing
- Diversification of “made in Congo Basin” products
- The development of new national and international markets

The forum will address issues that are crucial for our future, including:

- The future of forest concessions
- New European regulations (EUDR)
- CITES requirements
- Forest governance and recognition of the broader market (BMRC)

- The promotion of lesser-known species (LKTS)

RACEWOOD 2025 will offer you a unique opportunity to:

  • Discuss the current challenges facing the forestry sector
  • Anticipate the impact of new European regulations
  • Explore new business opportunities
  • Share your expertise in sustainable forest management

In addition, alongside Racewood, we are organizing two highlights:

- the first edition of the “Grand Prix d'Ébénisterie d'Afrique Centrale” (Central African wood artscraft Grand Prix)

- A tour of the special economic zone PICP!
