Just a few weeks after its official launch, the My Tropical Timber (MTT) platform is already demonstrating strong interest from professionals across the tropical timber sector.
Developed by ATIBT, the digital platform My Tropical Timber is designed to help users quickly identify suppliers, compare the technical characteristics of tropical timber species, and discover suitable alternatives for construction, manufacturing, trading, and procurement projects. The platform draws on authoritative CIRAD/Tropix data and promotes both well-known and lesser-known tropical timber species.
The first results are highly encouraging:
The platform is already attracting visitors from a wide range of countries, including Singapore, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, and the United States, highlighting its international reach and relevance.
ATIBT was also pleased to present My Tropical Timber during the Carrefour International du Bois in Nantes, one of Europe's leading timber industry events. The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to engage with architects, traders, manufacturers, importers, and other professionals, while showcasing the platform's capabilities and benefits.
These early results confirm the need for a reliable, accessible, and comprehensive reference tool dedicated to tropical timber species and suppliers.
We would like to thank all users, partners, and stakeholders who have contributed to the success of this initiative and invite professionals throughout the timber value chain to explore the platform.
