A new coordinator for the ATIBT-Congo FAO project

We welcome Mr. Edouard Kibongui, who joined the ATIBT team in Congo to replace Mr. Antoine Ngassaki.

Congolese national and father of 3 children, Mr. Edouard Kinbongui is 55 years old, and is a Technologist of Water and Forests, at the scientific grade « Master of science » at the Technical Institute of Forestry of VARONEJ in Russia.

Mr. Kibongui has a long professional career, since he was first head of forestry office in the company CRISTAL SA in the department of LIKOUALA, Chief of forest unit, in the region of Ollombo: Epa-Ngamba, Department trays, then Supervisor of multi-resource management inventory work in the forest concessions of South Congo with the Cameroon Geospatial Technology Group (GTG).

More recently, Mr. Kinbongui was Project Manager « Development of the VPA FLEGT legality monitoring online platform », a project funded by the EU-ACP FLEGT program, implemented by CAGDF in partnership with WRI and in collaboration with the MEFDD. Between March 2014- and March 2015, Mr. Kibongui was Supervisor of the project « Consolidation of the platform for online monitoring of the VPA FLEGT legality indicator », project funded by the EU-FAO FLEGT program, implemented by the CAGDF in partnership with WRI and in collaboration with the MEFDD and finally Supervisor of the FTI Congo Improvement Support Project, funded by USAID, implemented by CAGDF in partnership with WRI and in collaboration with the MEFDD.
