Rainforest Alliance is recruiting a Director of Forests for its Global Programs department. This key position oversees all forest-related activities: restoration, sustainable management, strategic alliances, and global coordination.
Main responsibilities
· Lead the global forest strategy in line with the 2030 roadmap: restoration, sustainable management, biodiversity conservation
· Coordinate and oversee high-impact forestry projects and initiatives
· Inspire cross-departmental collaboration and promote a culture of innovation
· Oversee staff, team development, and the dissemination of Rainforest Alliance values
Required profile
· Master's degree in ecology, natural resource management, or a similar discipline
· Minimum of 12 years of experience in conservation or forest management, with at least 8 years in the forestry sector
· Proven experience in international leadership, strategic alliances, and managing multidisciplinary teams
· Communication, innovation, critical thinking, and ability to manage multiple priorities
