ATIBT is recruiting a Project Coordinator in Cameroon

06.11.2026

ATIBT is seeking a Project Coordinator based in Yaoundé to lead the Compétences Bois Cameroun (CBC) project. The role will support the development of work-study training programmes tailored to the needs of businesses in the forest and timber sector.

Led by ATIBT in partnership with professional organisations SYNEFOR and GFBC and the National Forestry School in Mbalmayo (ENEF), the CBC project aims to establish training pathways for sawmill operators and saw sharpening and setting technicians. It will strengthen the skills needed for local timber processing and build a lasting partnership between the school and businesses.

The project is co-financed by the European Union and the German Government under the Team Europe OP-VET initiative, implemented by GIZ.

The Project Coordinator will oversee operational delivery, coordinate the consortium, monitor technical and financial progress, and liaise with partners and funders. The position requires active involvement on the ground, with regular travel to Mbalmayo and partner companies.

Candidate profile

Applicants should hold a master’s degree or equivalent and have at least seven years of professional experience, including three years coordinating vocational training projects involving public and private partners. Experience with internationally funded projects, a sound understanding of Cameroon’s forest and timber sector, and professional proficiency in French and English are also required.

Terms and application process

This is a full-time, fixed-term position of approximately 24 months under Cameroonian law, with remuneration based on qualifications and experience. The successful candidate is expected to start as soon as possible after the project’s financing agreement is signed. Recruitment remains subject to the signing of this agreement.

Applications, including a CV and cover letter, should be sent to offres@atibt.org, using the subject line: “Recrutement Chef·fe de projet CBC – ATIBT Cameroun”.

Application deadline: November 30th, 2026.
