Preferred by Nature OÜ, a certification body and member of ATIBT, has officially obtained accreditation to offer PAFC Congo Basin certification services relating to responsible forest management systems.
Issued by the National Accreditation Council (TUNAC), this accreditation certifies Preferred by Nature OÜ's competence to perform sustainable forest management assessment, auditing, and certification services in accordance with the international standard ISO/IEC 17021-1 and the specific requirements of the PAFC Congo Basin system. It is valid for a period of five years, from December 2025 to December 2030.
This recognition is a key step in the rollout of PAFC certification in the Congo Basin. It helps to strengthen the credibility of the certification schemes available to forestry operators in the region, while ensuring their regulatory compliance and alignment with international sustainability standards.
