The FSC’s 73rd Board of Directors meeting was held in Brazzaville in November 2016. Some board members were able to visit the IFO-Danzer and CIB-OLAM forest concessions, between 10 and 13 November.

On Saturday, 19 November, an informative day marked by exchanges and dialogue between FSC board members and stakeholders, including a delegation of ATIBT members including representatives from the Rougier (Gabon, Cameroon) and CIB-OLAM companies, FRM, CIRAD, accompanied by Françoise Van de Ven (UFIGA-Gabon) and Benoit Jobbé-Duval, Director of ATIBT.

This « stakeholder day » was an opportunity for all of the different interest groups working towards the responsible management of Congo Basin forests (governments, civil society organisations, forestry companies, non-governmental organisations, FSC members, resource persons) to learn about the processes conducted by FSC and to exchange views with board members on topics that are particularly important for the Sub-Region, including the important IFL issue, on which certified ATIBT members spoke at length.
