PEFC Market Survey 2026: Help Shape the Future of the Certification System

04.09.2026

PEFC has launched its 2026 Market Survey for stakeholders across the forest and forest-products value chain. The results will help inform the revision of the PEFC system, with a clear objective: to identify where certification needs to be strengthened, simplified or adapted to better meet the needs of the sector. ATIBT members and partners are encouraged to participate by 11 September 2026.

What should PEFC do differently? This is the central question being put to companies and organisations through the PEFC Market Survey 2026.

As its certification system evolves, PEFC is seeking feedback from stakeholders across the forest-products value chain to better understand what matters to them, what is changing, and where the PEFC system needs to strengthen or simplify its approach.

The responses will contribute to the revision of the certification system, with the aim of strengthening the resilience of forests and forest communities, delivering measurable impact and creating greater value for everyone who relies on certification.

The survey is open to a broad range of forest-sector professionals: whether you work with PEFC every day, occasionally, or simply source forest-based materials, your perspective is welcome.

ATIBT encourages its members and partners to participate so that the realities and expectations of stakeholders involved in tropical timber value chains can also be reflected in this process.
