ATIBT Congo are looking for an expert in order to carry out a study of situational analysis of the timber industry private sector operators in Republic of Congo

Since July 2018, ATIBT has opened an office in Brazaville : 3 people make up the staff ot this office.

In the framework of its implementation of its projects and to bring a best knowledge of the private forest sector in The Republic of Congo ATIBT Congo is actively seeking an expert for 24 days to carry out a study of situational analysis of the timber industry private sector operators in Republic of Congo.

The general objective of this study is to improve the knowledge of the forest Congolese Private Sector.

In particular, the situation of the private sector and professional associations and their market will be evaluated to better target the actions of the FLEGT IP and PPECF projects.

This study will establish an exhaustive cartography of timber operators according to: their type of activity, their areas of activity, their size, their place in the production chain, their level of unionization, and their involvement in VPA FLEGT processes and in certification.

It will also identify the Professional Associations (PA) for the different categories of private sector actors in the forest-wood sector, and their representativeness for the Congolese private forest sector as part of the implementation of the VPA. FLEGT.

You have an expertise in forest management, experience in conducting studies, a depth knowledge of the forest sector in Congo, knowledge of VPA FLEGT and certification, excellent communication skills, and an honest approach , this mission is made for you.
