ATIBT has published the English version of its Guide to Performance and Functional Requirements for African Tropical Timber Structures. This guide is a reference document for project owners, architects, specifiers, and professionals who wish to incorporate tropical timber into their projects.
This guide, written in English, provides additional information on the use of standards. Most of the standards presented are French. The preamble to the document contains a list of standards that have no European equivalent.
It is therefore important for everyone to check the corresponding standards in their own country.
In addition, a webinar dedicated to construction and development using tropical wood is available. This is an opportunity to discuss uses, performance, and best practices through concrete feedback.
