As part of the implementation of the Forest program, Forest Legality Initiative, the WRI is seeking a technical assistant to support the Open Timber Portal, an independent web platform that promotes trade in legally harvested forest products, compiling information from the government, the private sector and Independent Forest Observers (IOF) on the conformity of the forest sector in producing countries. As part of the implementation of the project « Support for strengthening internal audit capacities for the conformity of valid and operational forest titles with the requirements of the VPA / FLEGT Cameroon legality grids » (OP 32 84 21), funded by the FAO EU FLEGT Program, CERAD seeks the services of two Consultants to train managers of forest companies and trainee auditors of CERAD for internal audit of compliance with VPA / FLEGT Cameroon requirements. The training is planned on the 27th and 28th February 2018 in Yaoundé (Cameroon).

The Cameroon Timber Industry Group (GFBC) is seeking a General Delegate to represent its 19 member companies and their common interests. The GFBC is a dynamic and ambitious union, whose members represent about 75% of the volume of business carried out in the forestry sector in Cameroon. The General Delegate will be based in Yaoundé and will have frequent trips to Douala.
The French-speaker candidate must be very dynamic, have a good knowledge of the wood industry and excellent communication skills.

As part of the implementation of FLEGT-IP projects (financed by the FFEM and the EU, implemented by ATIBT) and PPECF2 (financed by KFW, implemented by the consortium Eco-Consult / Oréade -Brèche), a call for applications is launched for the recruitment of national focal points for the following target countries: Cameroon, Congo, Gabon and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
These French-speaker focal points, who will be based in the professional associations in the target countries, will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the two projects with the private sector of the forest-wood sector.
