ATIBT is participating in the Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP30), which is being held this November 2025 in Belém, Brazil.
Through the presence of its representative from the Carbon & Biodiversity Commission and its partner TEREA, ATIBT will represent the tropical forestry sector in several key debates on the role of forests in the fight against climate change.
Various ATIBT members will also be present at this COP and will also represent our sector, in particular Jeanicolau de Lacerda (our representative in Brazil), who will be in Belém from November 9 to 14, the AIMEX association, Mr. Boubacar Ben Salah from SPIB Côte d'Ivoire, Adryada, among others.
COP30 will be a decisive step in strengthening global climate commitments. ATIBT will highlight the central role of sustainable tropical forest management in reducing emissions, preserving biodiversity, and developing local communities.
Three major events will punctuate ATIBT's presence:
